The Heritage
Logansport's story began in 1826 when the town was founded where the Eel and Wabash rivers meet. They named it after Capt. James Logan, a Shawnee scout for the U.S. Army. Through generations, our community has grown, adapted and thrived - always with a spirit of hard work, pride and possibility.

The "Home of the Berries" has always been part of the Logansport High School identity. So we asked a simple question: What if the berries could be more than a school nickname? What if they could become a catalyst for opportunity - for students, for our community, for the future?
